Got the chance to watch a stage of tour live in Oman next week. First time watching a stage live and I was wondering if it's possible to get near the teams at end of race or are they generally kept away from watching public. Very excited, would be great to see cav win.
At most pro races there is the chance to see the riders up close, although at the end of the race it tends to be more difficult - I have no idea how it works in Oman, but you'll likely get the chance to see podium presentations and might get a chance to see a few riders...but the best opportunity to see riders and speak to them, etc is before the start of a stage.
Have fun! (PS I've just found out that Eurosport will be covering this race so I'll be watching it online.)
I think that Eurosport are only showing highlights of each stage Colin. However they're showing live coverage of the Volta ao Algarve which is Wiggos first hit out from Wednesday
I'll be happy with the highlights of Oman - there's only so much sand I can take! I've never watched the Algarve race before so that will be interesting. Now, if only I could figure out a way of recording Eurosport Player so I can watch races when I want to, not when eurosport choose to do the streaming ...
Greipel takes first blood on stage one but Cav had to 'unclip' inside the last 2 Kms. Does anybody know why he did that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Article here Keith http://www.teamsky.com/article/0,27290,24678_7521047,00.html Cav got pushed off the road, had to unclip and didn't contest the sprint as a result.
Its a shame that Eurosport are crap though, they were showing the blo*dy womens tennis when it was advertised for the Oman Tour!
Sagan takes stage 2 and the overall lead, that will make some of is fans on here happy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
