I've just been reviewing some on-bike videos i captured last year.
I found one incident which shows the difference between riding at speed whilst concentrating
on balance/positioning/etc ... and then "switching off" because you're on a "safe bit".

Two mates following me had a right laugh at my expense.

(Camera some no-name cheapo mounted just above the front wheel).

It was in thetford forest, starting at a place called brandon country park.
Many of the tracks are man-made and good for "learners", and then some areas take cyclists through bomb-holes, tree roots, etc.

This website has all the info: http://www.timbermtb.org/website/about

I see Thetford is still as rubbish as ever and mates keep telling me the Brandon side has the best bits......................................

As i said earlier .... i was on the brandon side of the main road.
I saw a friend snap a pedal off last year, and i got a stone wedged in my chain. It has its evil parts.
