I'd definitely join - I'm not very fit though. I manage a commute of 3 miles in about 20 - I'm overweight and underfast!

I'm Runcorn based though - I'm definitely up for it.

Speed isn't a problem you can work on that over time as you get fit, the club would have a faster group club run and a slower club run, as I said I am only starting to set thing up now and need to get riders to make up a committee to establish the club, once this is in place the committee can then get a understanding of what the riders of Halton want from a cycling club and not just what I want from one, the main thing I need to get going is a weekly ride would you want to join us on are next ride

I would be interested, yeah - when and where? I'm based in Weston Point. If it's going to be a regular ride then I'm up for it, I can't afford the gym but a club ride would be great. Be a good way to start losing my 4 stone excess weight....

Watch out for all the legal bits of running a club.

I will let you know over the weekend, we will make it a nice easy run, what sort of miles you happy with. Martin (one of the new riders) is new to riding so he won't want to be pushing hard, when do you normally go out evenings or weekends

I under stand there are thing I need in place, I am getting a committee of local riders before we form any structure of the club, and it's needs, if you have any tips I would be more than happy to take them onboard. In the mean time my plan would be to get some weekly rides to try find more riders and see what feed back I get about starting the club

Im starting to get back into commuting to college - 7 miles day or so. I would probably be ok with 5ish flat miles, maybe 10. I hope my fitness will build pretty quick commuting so I'll be up for more miles soon I reckon. I know it isn't much but I'd definitely like to do it for building fitness. I know club runs are generally 20 + miles but I physically couldn't do that so far - I'd be happy to build my fitness up before joining the club runs if that's not enough.

It's a little far for me to be a regular member of a club (I live about 10 miles from the bridge). But I ride through Runcorn quite a bit so if you're planning any informal rides I'd be keen to tag along.

In warrington here and would be interested in joining in on occasion as and when the shifts allow! Would have to commute up there in the first place and then back obviously. Daytime suits me better than evenings and any day is possible again depending on my shifts.

Riding a cannondale synapse alloy. Anything up to about 50 if it isn't too pacey. I'm overweight and in my 50's now but I try to get out a fair bit.
