Saw an unusually high number of cyclists today

Cycling from work heading for Dorking along the A25 I saw three cyclists, which is the most I've ever seen on that stretch of road on a weekday evening. One of them overtook* me shortly before the descent into Westcott and said something which sounded like a greeting as he went past, he was through and off before I had a chance to respond. Don't suppose it was anyone on here; was anyone cycling on the A25 near Westcott at around 6:30pm ish earlier this evening?

* I was on my folder, that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it .

Wasn't me, but strangely I had my first nod from a fellow cyclist heading in the other direction...
