    Hi people.

I fancy a couple of nights camping soon around the Cotwolds or Chilterns area, I seem to remember not so long ago someone set up a website asking people to post about fairly quiet and cycle friendly campsites that they had been to to build up a kind of database but I can't remember what it was called and can't come across it.

Does anyone know of any such thing or of any suitable sites, I've been to White Mark Farm at Watlington a few times and Mill Farm at Long Compton but has anybody got any other recommendations?

    Thanks.

Britchcombe Farm at Uffington. Is that still strictly in the Chilterns? Anyhow it's only about 30miles West of Watlington.

Pretty small and friendly campsite by the Ridgeway and almost directly under the White Horse. They let you have fires onsite, in fact the farmer comes around at teatime and sells logs. Great views from Uffington Castle - the Iron Age fort at the top - for miles over Oxfordshire. You can get good meals at the pub nearby at Uffington, but a bit on the pricey side...it's a gastropubish place.

I remember the attempt, but I don't think it got enough posts to be worthwhile.

Hi Snorri, yes I think maybe it can't have taken off in the end.

Thanks Bodhbh, Britchcombe farm sounds like it could be worth a visit although it looks like it's closed for refurbishment until March.

Cyclecamp, that's the one I was looking for, thanks for that.

Thanks for the other suggestions too, they both look like the sort of thing I'm looking for.
