New to tinkering with bikes - looking for advice :)

Hi All

I live in Brighton where I've been cycling to work for the last year and a half. I've got through 3 bikes in that time which were all stolen. Unfortunately its a high risk area for bike thieves

I'm here because for the first time I'm looking at modifing my bike, and not really knowing the first thing about the mechanics of bikes, I thought I'd get advice from you lovely people!

tinkering is good mate,mine used to have drop bars,,changed stem ,bar,shifters,saddle seatpost,tyres,forks,front and rear derailleurs,callipers front and rear,,,,its addictive,,,but good
