Is there any need for this?

Not wishing to condone criminal damage, but that was some side-swipe. It looks like it took the mirror clean off. The incident seems a huge over-reaction to the little BMW starting to encroach on the space. It does look like there was something going on with it and the black car - the BMW was pretty much touching the other car before it turned off.

Looks like a complete over-reaction and really no need.

I've put a helmet on my car aerial. I wouldn't want it to get injured in an accident. Think of the children.

  1. So the cyclist causes criminal damage then buggers off up the road. Now if only there was a way of making cyclists accountable for their behaviour.

Massive overreaction - but agree with others. Frustration like that usually takes time and isn't a one bad overtake thing. Wonderful punch though!

I think the key to him knocking it off was to hit from under and behind, not from the front  - I've been told this before !

That's not a BMW - it's a Hyundai i30 or similar. The black car was a Megane ! (me = petrol head )

He must have been boiling over with something previous to this, and took it out on this car. Luckily for the cyclist it wasnt a guy who wasnt going to let it go, and get out after him.

Or had the cyclist not already had hassle from the silver car prior to it being shown on the video??

The driver certainly seemed to be having one of those road rage moments - I would loved to have seen the expression on his face post incident, steam coming out of the ears! And I certainly wouldn't of liked to be the next cyclist he past.

I don't care - the incident is between the cyclist and the car driiver.

There's many times when I've wanted to do that though.

I put a car in my helmet.
  2. What a complete utter idiot that cyclist was, hard to believe a grown man would do that to a car, he could have seriously hurt himself, much better to use your foot preferably cleat shod, er so I have been told [IMG]

Russian cars arent known for their build quality.
As for the driver, he was driving as most Russians do and I don't think we should judge his manners by our british passiveness. The driver didn't touch anyone, just got into the space he wanted to. I suspect the cyclist wasn't Russian as he wouldn't be sitting in traffic but instead jockeying his way through like everyone else. In short, the cyclist was bang out of order.

That silver car was so pushy, got within mm of the car that turned left. Then invaded the space of the cyclist while being stared down...did all the AK47s leave Russia for Iraq or something?
