Driver was being a prick even before the cyclist was there and the cyclist knew what was going to happen and was so focused on undertaking that he nearly slammed into the car in front.
We also don't know what was said out of the open car window?
Ninja cyclist too - no hi-vis and no helmet apart from being one.

Still, doesn't justify breaking the mirror off tho.

no excuse for this. But I do wonder if there's a lot more to this incident than the small amount we are shown?

As I said ianrauk - just my opinion - not meant to offend.

No helmet is a matter of choice but madness to me, however, in rush- hour commute traffic not wearing any bright or hi- vis is sheer madness as you can easily just disappear in the melee of vehicles.
Again - just my opinion

No need for that at all but how did he break the mirror so easily?

I can't watch the vid at work but I have seen one in Oz where two cyclists have a go in a petrol station on Youtube, pretty funny when they bend his windscreen wippers.

This must be why there are incessant calls for all cars to be painted hi-viz colours.

Apologies. People often suggest that cyclists should be covered in Hi-viz in order to be visible. I was commenting on the fact that you never hear anyone suggesting that all cars should be similarly coloured.

I think there's more to this than we see on the video ... check out the silver and black car at the start of the video and you'll see what I mean ... maybe the silver car driver has been cutting them both up long before the cyclist punched his/her wing mirror off.

I can never understand why cars do not protect these vulnerable sticky out bits with some polystyrene!

Silver car is a pushy little twonk, look at how close he comes to the first car on his left... richly deserved but that sort of thing doesn't stop idiots being idiots though !

in all honesty im glad the cyclist did what he did i'd rather see a wing mirror knocked across the road than a cyclist and maybe next time the silver car driver decides he/she owns the road they will think twice incase something else is attacked namley themselves
