Do check the size bar that the Decathlon ones can hang onto - that 3 litre one won't fit an oversized bar.

We put my Ortlieb barbag on the extension mounting set to get around the issues with the cables. It has been in place for 14,000km without
issue. Surprisingly secure, though a touch difficult to line everything up when it first went on (needed a flat headed screw driver to prise a little bit of plastic outwards to slot things together), but more than happy with it.

Also if you go with the Ortlieb barbag (Ultimate 5) treat yourself to the 'plus' model. It has some really handy zipper pockets on the outside - think tissues and polos or just lose change. So much easier.

A MASSIVE “PLUS ONE” for the Vaude/Edinburgh one – superb bit of kit and not too big at all. Agreed about the lack of waterproofness and it did get very damp on one tour in NZ even with the cover on. But I would not be without it. The map holder is fantastic

Next time if I cycle in the rain I will have proper plastic bag, and also I always keep phone/camera/passport etc in an Alpkit lightweight drybag like these http://www.alpkit.com/shop/cart.php?target=product&product_id=16316&category_id=250

Ah that looks great!!! good idea, will look at that too. Not sure now if the Carradicebags will fit on my seat stem though, as it is shapped a bit aerodynamic:sad:

would this bar bag fit on a dawes karakum as it has butterfly handle bars.

Scilly Suffolk I'm no expert, but...

I've not tried it, but I'd think it would be a bit of a squeeze.

It would depend on where you have brakes and gear shifters, as the bracket clamps on the bars either side of stem.

Try posting in Touring & Expeditions to see if anyone has this set-up.

You could use one of these:

There is another version with a longer bar for a couple of lights, or gsm etc. It should work on any Rixen kaul clickfit handlebar mount: Ortlieb, carradice and altura are the obvious ones.
