City Navigator Street Maps are like. Never had gps before so its all bit new to me. scared to death if i tell the truth. :bicycle:

I have both and like the OS maps the best for both off and on road use - however others prefer the city navigator maps for the road (they are a bit simpler and more like a sat nav in a car whereas the OS maps are like a small electronic version of an OS map)

If using on the trans pennine trail then the OS maps will probably be the most suitable

Garmin mapping is so expensive I've only ever used the OSM mapping ... downloaded from a variety of sources, including talkytoaster as mentioned above.

we use velomaps with our garmin software. Surprisingly accurate for roads across all of Europe, but you have to create the contour maps yourself which is easy enough when you have worked it out, but a bit of pain sorting what is needed on your pc in the first place.

OSM can be sketchy in rural areas, especially abroad but for free its great, just not that accurate for long distance touring but with a map shouldnt be an Issue. I have the City Navigator Europe Map but havent had a chance to use it yet but it does looks a lot more detailed than than the OSM.
