I cycle to work mon - fri and I have a physical job, which is made worse during the summer when working in an very hot working environment. But during that time in the summer I often ride for longer despite being knackered. But I enjoy cycling, that's why I do it, isn't that why we all do it?

I've a physical job, and it's very tiring sometimes, even without the 45 mile round trip commute.

I don't get to sit down - maybe 30 min over a 10/12 hours shift, and I've got to unload/shift heavy boxes (at my age :cursing:)
I don't get tired of cycling, but I get tired of work. Then again my commute is very small, only about 5 miles each way.

Sometimes my head doesn't clear out of work mode until the last mile or so, sometimes I don't want to be at work for the last 8 miles of my ride there. However, the first mile and last mile ALWAYS make riding worth while. Some days when the planets are aligned and the moon is blue, the entire commute both ways is awesome.

My job involves a 12hr night shift and the work is very active but not arduous. I am constantly on the go walking from one machine to the next but do not lift anything heavier than a bag of sugar. I find that cycling the 10 miles to work makes me more alert for the whole night and less likely to suffer the sleepy hour around 3-4am. I also find I look forward to jumping on the bike for the return journey at 7 in the morning and never wish I had brought the car instead.

I would have to say you must be lazy

I have a semi-physical job. HGV driver with some hand-balling. Gotta say though, since starting riding to work 2 years ago, I have far more energy overall. The more you cycle, the fitter you get, the more energy you have.

Ohhhh, don't mention pancakes.:tired: The Missus asked how many I wanted and as I was starving I said "8". I don't know the specific level required to officially overdose on pancakes, but I'm sure I came bloomin' close.
